A humorous Rapunzel/Snow mashup. With dragons.

What would you do if you were stuck in a tower for hundreds of years without parole?

A novellette about what happens when you try to steal stuff (or people)

What if you were tasked to draw dragon after dragon after dragon – ad nauseam and in captivity – to resurrect an entire realm?

Well, I cursed the lot of them.

Heartbroken over the treachery of the angel who was supposed to guard her, Lottie is trying to keep busy. Drawing one dragon after another and watching them leap off the page and out the window. If only she could leave her tower. But her captor said no without giving any reasons. If to believe all the storybooks, her happily-ever-after should be here soon. In the guise of a charming prince, no doubt.

Except her happy ending has been five hundred years coming and her only visitor is an annoying dragon she drew to life who keeps loitering about her tower. Doubtlessly to steal something.

Why couldn’t her affections be reciprocated centuries ago? Why is Gil so annoying? And where is her HEA?

This novella is a Rapunzel / Snow White mashup retelling and links to the author’s other works, but can be enjoyed as a standalone short story and a soundbite of the author’s writing style.

In case you love dragons, this novelette is also featured in my single-author anthology “Tales of the Dragons”.

Would you trust a dark, brooding avenger to be your guardian angel?

Would you trust a dark, brooding avenger to be your guardian angel?

Unalived in his prime, Victor is now the darkest new recruit of the Agency of Guardian Angels – assigned to save the unsaveable and fight the unfightable. If only he hadn’t called his operator a “wingless rat” while still on his probation period. The result: the vindictive pixie doubles his workload. His mission? To save two damsels in distress. Undercover.

The catch? One damsel is clueless and the other refuses to play along.

Sally is blind to the fact that her Prince Charming is right in front of her. To avoid death by pitchfork Charlotte has to learn how to stand up to her family and avoid drawing things to life.

Guard Me is a gripping, witty spinoff in the Agency of Guardian Angels series, unfolding parallel to the events of Save Me. Set between Victor’s breakup with Grace and his fateful meeting with Ellie, this story bridges the gap between The Magic Mirrors Saga and the Goddesses series. While it’s a standalone adventure, fans of Victor’s prickly charm (and those who hated him in Recruit Me), will find plenty to laugh as two women make him squirm in the name of earning his wings.

A humorous short retelling of the Three Princesses.

Three half-blood princesses. One crown.

Once upon a time a barren fae queen wished for an heir. Fate obliged. However, Fate has a twisted sense of humour where fae are concerned.

Finella, the eldest, looked like an orc; Raven was perfect until she demolished half the palace in her dragon form; and Lily, the youngest, had a penchant for gems… quite like the dwarves from the neighbouring kingdom. As the girls came of age and the queen racked her brain who should be heir, all three princesses were abducted.

Follow the adventures of Finella, Raven and Lily and see what choices they make. Abduction is no funny business and retribution is as easy a thought as escape. Will Finella trust Mouse to guide her through the labyrinth of tunnels in the Darkwood Forest? Will Raven claw out the eyes of her dragon abductor or will her upbringing have her resort to fine mockery? Will Lily aid Trevor to reclaim his throne or will she cleave him in half with an axe as soon as he sets her down? And what if all three princesses never returned and gave the crown up for love?

This clean YA novella is co-written by Astrid V.J., M.S. Weaver, and Sky Sommers, and leads to their other inividual works, but can be read as a standalone.

5 short standalone stories related to magic mirrors to complement The Magic Mirrors Saga.

What if all mirrors were portals and wishes were like curses?

Tales of the Mirrors is a set of 5 short fairytale retellings:

To Thaw a Heart – a Snow Queen retelling with a Romanov curse;

To Make a Wish – a twisty mashup of Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Anastasia, the Frog Prince, Hans & Greta and other fairytales;

To Kiss a Frog – the Frog Prince retelling;

To Kill a Beast – Belle’s jilted huntsman’s HEA;

To Cure a Curse – a Belle & Beast retelling.

Grizelda the witch from Cinders (aka Marina the Goddess of Fate from Charm) takes center stage in this set, meddling through the consequences of her wish. Belle and the vainest bachelor of the village make an appearance as well. You might remember the silver and bronze mirrors from Cinders, the iron one from Ash and the golden one from Charm. Or get introduced to them here.

These short stories link to the author’s other books, but are related standalones that can be read separately as small soundbites and enjoyed by both young adult and new adult audiences. If you’re a fan of Roald Dahl and Sarah Pinborough’s twisted tales, this should be up your alley.

A 5 fairytale mashup in 1 Cinders-Embers-Ash trilogy omnibus set. Yup, 5-in-1: Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Hans&Greta, Belle&Beast and Wizard of Oz retellings. Deliciously dark. Twisty-turney. Secrets peeled back like onions.

Happily-ever-afters with wicked twists:

– A defiant Cinderella and Prince Charming with a hairy family secret
– A deal gone wrong for Red’s mom
– A loopy Oz and a villainy godmother masquerading as a witch. Or two.

Grace made a deal: in exchange for the life of her newborn son, she will get Ella her happily-ever-after. A license to be evil, hurray! That was it, wasn’t it? Three years of living in the Magic Kingdom and all the sleepless nights might have made her forget a few details. There’s no point in asking the mirrors anything – they are definitely lying. The only thing Grace knows is that her son’s third birthday is approaching and it’s urgent she marry boy-crazy Ella off. One way or another.

Discover unlikely villains, surprising godmothers, and secrets peeled back like onions in this exciting omnibus, which contains all three books in the Magic Mirrors Saga (and 5 mashup retellings):

Cinders: Necessary Evil – a dark Cinderella retelling from dual POV (stepmother and Ella’s – where Ella is no wallflower and you might hate her a little at first for being a bit too self-absorbed.)

Embers: Beastly Curses – a 2nd chances Red Riding Hood retelling where Prince Charming’s hairy secret is revealed;

Ash: Crooked Fates – a Twisted Wizard of Oz retelling where a certain unlovable villain may or may not get her HEA.

Where’s the 5th fairytale, you ask? Hans & Greta’s tale is a nestled story in Cinders and psst…the cannibalistic witch is not as bad as we’ve all been led to believe.

If you enjoyed Roald Dahl’s whimsy as a child and adore Sarah Pinborough’s captivating retellings, this dark fairytale adaptation collection is a must-read for the young and new adult audience alike.

Trigger warnings: This enchanting trilogy touches upon themes of abandonment, loss of child, abortion (in Cinders) and mental health issues (Korsakoff’s in Ash), adding depth and emotion to the gripping narrative.

Don’t miss out on this deliciously dark fairytale ride. Get ready to lose yourself in all the wicked twists and, of course, in Ella’s Diary.

What if you don’t have forever to wait until your first love notices you?

Book #4 in the Goddesses Series is a reverse age-gap romance and can be read as a standalone.

What if you don’t have forever to win over the girl of your dreams?

Love at first sight exists, right? Even when your teen crush is an immortal who sees you as nothing more than a sweet kid.

Zack was smitten the moment he laid eyes on Ava when she first visited Heaven, Texas, bringing with her a hailstorm in July. That was 13 years ago. She still looks and he still feels the same. At 25, while his peers are seeking jobs and travelling the world, he applies for an internship to be closer to the woman of his dreams – to woo her before his time runs out.

Ava, affectionately dubbed “Ice” among her fellow goddesses, has confined herself to life at the North Pole, in her kingdom of snow and snuggly solitude, and taken on the thankless job to keep Earth’s glaciers from melting. What else can an immortal Goddess of Frost do, if temperatures drop whenever she goes South? Her serene existence is disrupted when a new and rather familiar seismologist arrives at her weather station. Instead of the cute boy she met years ago, who is this hunk of a man who tells her to call him Theo, not Zack?

Will Ava figure out what’s wrong with Theo before it’s too late? Why has there been a series of tectonic events across the globe ever since they met? And does making a new god qualify as personal gain when saving Iceland is also on the line?

Fire & Ice is book #4 in the series, but can be read as a standalone. Meaning: to read book #4 you don’t need to read the love stories of the other goddesses:
book #1 Charm & Mayhem: The Goddess of Fate; or
book #2 Life & Death: The Goddess of Light; or
book #3 Love & Money: The Goddess of Luck
…but those might be fun options.
