Description
What would you do if you were stuck in a tower for hundreds of years without parole?
A novellette about what happens when you try to steal stuff (or people)
What if you were tasked to draw dragon after dragon after dragon – ad nauseam and in captivity – to resurrect an entire realm?
Well, I cursed the lot of them.
Heartbroken over the treachery of the angel who was supposed to guard her, Lottie is trying to keep busy. Drawing one dragon after another and watching them leap off the page and out the window. If only she could leave her tower. But her captor said no without giving any reasons. If to believe all the storybooks, her happily-ever-after should be here soon. In the guise of a charming prince, no doubt.
Except her happy ending has been five hundred years coming and her only visitor is an annoying dragon she drew to life who keeps loitering about her tower. Doubtlessly to steal something.
Why couldn’t her affections be reciprocated centuries ago? Why is Gil so annoying? And where is her HEA?
This novella is a Rapunzel / Snow White mashup retelling and links to the author’s other works, but can be enjoyed as a standalone short story and a soundbite of the author’s writing style.
In case you love dragons, this novelette is also featured in my single-author anthology “Tales of the Dragons”. 😉
